Ram Papish shares his experiences with migratory songbirds and shorebirds in far-flung locations across North and South America. After the presentation\, we will take advantage of peak migration to see what winged wonders are moving through our area. \nBio: Ram Papish is a professional wildlife enthusiast whose varied career includes biologist\, educator\, photographer\, and wildlife artist. He specializes in the design and illustration of interpretive panels. An avid traveler\, Ram has a passion for observing and photographing wildlife worldwide. \nDetails: This will begin with a presentation followed by an outdoor excursion to Netarts Bay to take advantage of peak migration to see what winged wonders are moving through our area. All birding levels are welcome! \nWhere: Netarts area (Register for details) \nThis event includes both an indoor presentation and an outdoor excursion to Netarts Bay. The presentation will be from 9:00 am – 10:00 am. The excursion will start at 10:15 am and end at 12:30 pm. Please plan to drive/carpool to field birding locations. \nWhat to Bring: Please bring anything needed to keep you comfortable. The community center can be on the cooler side. The excursion will travel over paved\, gravel\, and sand trails and include navigating stairs to the beach. Please be prepared for the dynamic Oregon coast weather (in May). We encourage rain gear\, sturdy shoes\, and layers. Please bring water\, beverages\, and/or snacks as needed to keep you energized. \nCost: There is no cost to attend this program. DESCRIPTION:Please note that the hours of the sale are different on Saturday and Sunday Mother’s Day weekend.  Saturday\, May 13 is from 10-3 and Sunday\, May 14\, from 10-12.  Location of the sale is 43080 Northfork Rd\, Nehalem at the junction of Hwy 53 and Northfork Rd with horse statues in the front yard and real horses in the back yard! DESCRIPTION:Come join other members of the LGBTQIA community and our allies for a fun community event. Theme is Over The Rainbow. Dress code is from business casual to formal wear. On theme costumes allowed so long as appropriate (no dangerous parts/weapons\, too revealing/sexually inappropriate\, etc.). Please no sweats or light wash\, faded\, ripped jeans.  \nThis is a sober event. Light snacks\, dessert\, and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided. There will be a DJ and dancing\, a photo station\, and even an introvert corner. Possibly outdoor games if the weather allows.  \nEvent is for adults/non-students\, ages 18 years of age and up\, only. Teens have a separate event earlier the same evening. So grab your partner\, friends\, allies\, and your dancing shoes and come have some fun in community.  \nThere will be uniformed security present to help keep our event safe.
