DESCRIPTION:Tillamook Vision Center is sponsoring the 2nd annual Find the Eye Treasure Hunt.  Opening day is Friday August 30th when shirts will be available to pickup and the first clues will start going out.  We have hidden a glass eye trophy out somewhere on public lands of Tillamook county and the first person to find it will win a prize.  If you are registered for the event and wearing your T-shirt you win the full $5\,000 prize; if you are not registered or wearing your shirt\, you can still hunt\, but the prize is lower at $1\,500. \nTo register and read all the rules\, boundaries and clues: \nHome \nFollow clues on the Tillamook Vision Center and Find the Eye Facebook and Instagram pages.

DESCRIPTION:Contact: \ninfo@netartsbaywebs.org\n \nCAPE LOOKOUT STEWARDSHIP DAY – WEDNESDAY\, SEPTEMBER 11TH \nCape Lookout Stewardship Day offers opportunities to give back and work to maintain our natural areas and restore healthy coastal landscapes. \nLend a hand clearing weeds and invasive ivy from recent plantings established at Cape Lookout State Park. \n During the winter\, WEBS volunteers helped OR State Parks staff plant a large variety of native trees\, shrubs\, and plants. For this event\, park staff along with WEBS volunteers\, will be on hand to supervise participants who will be clearing around the established winter plantings\, removing unwanted plants that may slow their growth.  “Our goal is aimed at improving and restoring the habitat within the park”\, says WEBS director Chrissy Smith.  \nIf possible\, we ask participants to provide their own: \n\nwork gloves\nhand pruners\nshovels\nappropriate gear for Oregon Coast in September\nIt is also recommended that participants bring a reusable water bottle\, and snacks.\n\nGet more information and find a link to register on our website at: \nhttps://www.netartsbaywebs.org/events \nConsider donating:   \nYour donation helps in supporting the work of our organization. We need your help!” \nYour local Tillamook Elks Lodge #1437\, located at 1907 3rd St. will be hosting the next American Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday\, September 11 from noon until 6 PM. This is a community service event and all individuals who can donate or wish to donate blood can participate. We encourage you to go online with americanredcross.org\, select your time slot\, complete the questionnaire and obtain your donor card your rapids rewards pass. Walk-ins are allowed\, however\, you may have an extremely long wait.
