SUMMARY:Find the Eye – Treasure Hunt! $5\,000 prize
DESCRIPTION:Tillamook Vision Center is sponsoring the 2nd annual Find the Eye Treasure Hunt.  Opening day is Friday August 30th when shirts will be available to pickup and the first clues will start going out.  We have hidden a glass eye trophy out somewhere on public lands of Tillamook county and the first person to find it will win a prize.  If you are registered for the event and wearing your T-shirt you win the full $5\,000 prize; if you are not registered or wearing your shirt\, you can still hunt\, but the prize is lower at $1\,500. \nTo register and read all the rules\, boundaries and clues: \nHome \nFollow clues on the Tillamook Vision Center and Find the Eye Facebook and Instagram pages.

DESCRIPTION:25th Annual Longboard Surf Contest and Festival in Pacific City. Friday night is the kickoff party with a special tribute video from experiences over the last 25 years. Live music\, beer garden and silent auction items all right next to Pelican Brewing at Cape Kiwanda State Recreation Area. Saturday is the competition with finals on Sunday and the awards ceremony. DESCRIPTION:Contact: \ninfo@netartsbaywebs.org\n \nCAPE LOOKOUT STEWARDSHIP DAY – Sunday\, September 22nd\, 2024 \n  \nCape Lookout Stewardship Day offers opportunities to give back and work to maintain our natural areas and restore healthy coastal landscapes. \nLend a hand clearing weeds and invasive ivy from recent plantings established at Cape Lookout State Park. \n During the winter\, WEBS volunteers helped OR State Parks staff plant a large variety of native trees\, shrubs\, and plants. For this event\, park staff along with WEBS volunteers\, will be on hand to supervise participants who will be clearing around the established winter plantings\, removing unwanted plants that may slow their growth.  “Our goal is aimed at improving and restoring the habitat within the park”\, says WEBS director Chrissy Smith.  \nIf possible\, we ask participants to provide their own: \n\nwork gloves\nhand pruners\nshovels\nappropriate gear for Oregon Coast in September\nIt is also recommended that participants bring a reusable water bottle\, and snacks.\n\nGet more information and find a link to register on our website at: \nhttps://www.netartsbaywebs.org/events \nConsider donating:   \nYour donation helps in supporting the work of our organization.
