And getting noticed. \nConvery’s latest album Miles Awake boasts polished lyrics and sophisticated soundscapes\, backed by a group of distinguished musicians and co-produced with bandmate and collaborator Timothy Karplus. The music encompasses life’s diverse experiences\, joyous and challenging. While songs like Goddamn Disaster and Extraordinary Love deliver a powerful emotional punch\, Convery still leaves room for sensuality and tenderness in songs like Look Out Below and Let’s Run Away. Themes of bravery and self-preservation resonate throughout.\n\nDespite roadblocks and limitations\, Convery’s dedication to music has prevailed and her story is shared throughout her work. DESCRIPTION:Corey Murphy to perform in the 2024 Summer Music Series at the Maxwell Park Library Stage at the Tillamook Main Library on Friday\, July 26th at noon. \nCorey Murphy sings songs from his father’s birthplace of Newmarket\, County Cork. He collects and performs music of and for the Irish diaspora\, with a special focus on Lake County\, Oregon. \nIn 2023\, Corey contributed a small part to guitar legend Muriel Anderson’s Sailing Dreams. Corey recorded the album Lark (2009) with celtic fusion group Ordinance and continues to serve as a sideman with a variety of acts in multiple genres. As a solo artist\, he performs classic Irish ballads\, songs of Irish history\, and the ocassional corrido or country song.
