Gardening how-to\, poetry and philosophical self-help\, outdoor guidebooks\, fantasy\, and Christian non-fiction will all be represented. \nAuthors include Jennifer Greer\, Neal Lemery\, Alexandra Mason\, Athena\, Adam Sawyer\, Deborah Lincoln\, and Jerry Sutherland. Sally Rissel\, Marc Johnson\, Jennifer Chamberlin\, Carla Albright\, Brad Ayers\, Brian Ratty and Rhonda Reynolds will also be participating. \nThis is the perfect way to start your holiday shopping and support local authors and the Garibaldi Museum at the same time. DESCRIPTION:ORCHESTRA PRESENTS NOVEMBER CONCERTS \nThe North Oregon Coast Symphony begins its 2023-2024 season with two classical music concerts in November. The programs will feature two soloists. Diane Amos will play the Andante movement from Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21\, made famous in the 1967 movie Elvira Madigan. Jude Matulich-Hall will play the spooky violin solo inviting the skeletons to dance in Saint-Saëns’s Danse Macabre. \nOther selections will include Mendelssohn’s Wedding March\, Strauss’s Blue Danube Waltz\, Berlioz’s March Troyenne\, Sibelius’s Finlandia\, and Rimsky- Karsakov’s Procession of the Nobles. \nThe orchestra will perform the concerts on\,Saturday\, November 18 at St. Catherine Episcopal Church (36335 N. Hwy. 101\, Nehalem\, OR) beginning at 3 pm\, and Sunday\, November 19\, at the Charlene Larsen Performing Arts Center (588 16th St.\, Astoria\, OR) beginning at 3 pm. \nAdmission for adults is $10; youth 18 and under are free\, but those 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets will be sold at the door for the St. Catherine concert (cash or personal check only). Tickets for the Larsen Center concert will be sold online at LarsenCenter.org or by phone at 503 338 9132. \nThis non-profit ensemble\, under the direction of conductor Cory Pederson\, brings together musicians from the north Oregon and south Washington coast to keep classical music alive and affordable for local audiences. Monetary donations will be given to the YMCA sports programs and be will used to purchase sports equipment for our local youth teams. TSOD & the Tillamook YMCA share the same passion for kids and community. The three-piece band formed in 1995\, comprising guitarist and singer Drew DeRieux\, drummer and singer Mike Reeves\, and bassist Brandon Affolter\, played shows throughout the 90’s both in Portland and as a sought-after coastal party band. The much-anticipated reunion concert is not only a return to the stage for Red Tide\, but also a benefit for the Bay City Arts Center. Entry is a suggested donation of $20 for general admission and $10 for students.
