At the event\, community members will be encouraged to paint positive messages on rocks including the new 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. \n  \nThe Tillamook County Suicide Prevention Coalition is a group of Tillamook County residents who are dedicated to suicide prevention and support. The coalition meets once a month to discuss strategies to raise awareness of suicide prevention resources\, raise awareness of crisis supports\, promote prevention education\, and plan community events in Tillamook County. \n

DESCRIPTION:Shrink your internal organs while doubling your body weight: It’s migration season! Let’s track the incredible journeys\, and changes along the way\, as our local migrants move between wintering and breeding grounds. Ram Papish shares his experiences with migratory songbirds and shorebirds in far-flung locations across North and South America. After the presentation\, we will take advantage of peak migration to see what winged wonders are moving through our area. \nBio: Ram Papish is a professional wildlife enthusiast whose varied career includes biologist\, educator\, photographer\, and wildlife artist. He specializes in the design and illustration of interpretive panels. An avid traveler\, Ram has a passion for observing and photographing wildlife worldwide. \nDetails: This will begin with a presentation followed by an outdoor excursion to Netarts Bay to take advantage of peak migration to see what winged wonders are moving through our area. All birding levels are welcome! \nWhere: Netarts area (Register for details) \nThis event includes both an indoor presentation and an outdoor excursion to Netarts Bay. The presentation will be from 9:00 am – 10:00 am. The excursion will start at 10:15 am and end at 12:30 pm. Please plan to drive/carpool to field birding locations. \nWhat to Bring: Please bring anything needed to keep you comfortable. The community center can be on the cooler side. The excursion will travel over paved\, gravel\, and sand trails and include navigating stairs to the beach. Please be prepared for the dynamic Oregon coast weather (in May). We encourage rain gear\, sturdy shoes\, and layers. Please bring water\, beverages\, and/or snacks as needed to keep you energized. \nCost: There is no cost to attend this program. DESCRIPTION:Preschool storytime (PS) on Wed @ 10; developmentally appropriate for 3-5 yos; music\, stories\, interactive play and lots of laughs! In this class little begin to learn about a leader at the front of the room\, how to hold their wiggles\, listening and sitting still. When a child is transitioning from TT to PS my expectation is that they will sit for 5-10 minutes and then they might go play. I do not force them to sit still if they are not ready to. \nA couple of things about the children’s room that might set you at ease: \n\nThere is no expectation that it will be a quiet zone; kids are kids and they are allowed to act like themselves in the children’s room.\nOnly 2 hard and fast rules: No Running & No Screaming.\nIf your child needs a snack\, feed them!

DESCRIPTION:Guest Service Gold® prepares individuals for the Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP®) exam. Recognized worldwide\, the CGSP® is the highest acknowledgement of guest service excellence for customer service professionals. The Guest Service Gold program features seven elements: Recovery: Turn it Around\, Personalization: Provide and Individualized Experience\, Knowledge: Be in the Know\, Passion: Inspire Others\, Commitment: Be All In\, Inclusion: Include Everyone\, Personality: Be Yourself. \nThe group training can be completed in four hours. Following that training\, the CGSP® exam consists of 30 multiple-choice questions that must be answered within one hour. Candidates must achieve a minimum score of 70% to earn the CGSP® designation.

Tillamook Revitalization Association is sponsoring this Vietnam Memorial on May 26th and 27th at 2 Street Plaza from 10am-6pm. This would be in conjunction with Memorial Day Weekend.
