The Friends of Netarts Bay WEBS has you covered. \nJoin Friend of Netarts Bay WEBS\, The Schooner Restaurant and Lounge\, and the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife for an informative two-part event on the bay learning about sustainable\, wild shellfish harvesting\, and how to clean and cook clams they harvest. \nPart 1 will feature a presentation by ODFW and a cleaning and cooking demo led by Schooner Restaurant and Lounge.

DESCRIPTION:What amazing creatures are lurking at the water’s edge? Come out to Oceanside and see! \nFriends of Netarts Bay WEBS staff and volunteers will be onsite in the tide pools sharing about what is living along the coastal edge.  Learn about anemone clone wars\, how a sea star eats\, or how hermit crabs steal shell homes from other crabs! From seaweeds to sculpin fish\, there is an amazing world to discover. Come out and enjoy! \nDetails: Wear boots or bring a change of shoes. DO NOT WEAR Flip flops (they are never ideal for exploring tide pools). Be prepared for Oregon coast weather. \nRegister to save your spot with a tide pool guide! Registration is required. \nWe understand everyone learns and experiences the outdoors differently and we are open to working with anyone that needs additional support. We have limited capacity. Please contact us in advance so we can do our best to accommodate your needs and/or find a way for you or your group to have fun participating in our events. \nAn EXPLORE NATURE Tillamook Coast-approved event!
