DESCRIPTION:Celebre el arte\, la cultura y el medio ambiente durante este maravilloso evento en el Parque Estatal Cape Lookout. \nCompartir arte\, cultura\, música y danza de una manera vibrante\, colorida\, generosa y trascendental para fortalecer la conexión con la naturaleza y unir a las comunidades con celebraciones inspiradoras. \nEl grupo fue fundado en McMinnville Oregon en 2016 por el artista\, musico\, intérprete y promotor cultural Eduardo Cruz Torres Amictlan y su esposa y danzante principal del grupo María Elena Cortés Durán Malinalmiquiz quien comenzó a danzar cuando tenía solo 12 años y la danza ha sido parte de su vida desde entonces. \nLa danza y la música mexica-chichimeca o azteca conecta el mundo natural\, el cuerpo humano y el espíritu con todo lo que existe. Es una integración cósmica\, una oración en movimiento que deleita los sentidos. Dirigido por María Elena Cortés Durán\, los atuendos de los danzantes despliegan vibrantemente coloridos símbolos ancestrales y plumas vívidas. En el tambor huehuetl\, Eduardo Cruz Torres marca el ritmo del vuelo de flautas de cerámica\, ocarinas\, silbatos de viento\, mientras sonajas tradicionales\, piedras\, semillas y raspadores de hueso ambientan cada presentación. \nLos movimientos y sonidos de estas animadas presentaciones reflejan la energía que nos une a cada uno de nosotros con los demás y con todo el cosmos. At the Huehuetl drum\, Eduardo Cruz Torres sets the rhythm for the flight of ceramic flutes\, ocarinas\, and wind whistles\, while traditional Nahuatl rattles\, stones\, seeds\, and bones stir the atmosphere of each performance. \nThe movements and sounds of these spirited presentations mirror the energy that joins each of us with each other and the entire cosmos. With joyful generosity\, Huehca Omeyocan aims to inspire this transcendent connectivity in every community they touch. \nJoin Huehca Omeyocan\, Friends of Netarts Bay WEBS\, Oregon State Parks\, OSU Extension\, and the Juntos Afuera Program for an inspiring day with opportunities to explore\, learn\, celebrate\, and act for the ocean. \n10 AM to 2 PM – Huehca Omeyocan – An Offering to our Healing Ocean: The main event of the day is a celebration honoring our healing ocean led by Huehca Omeyocan. Bring a blanket or camp chair\, some snacks\, and drinks\, and enjoy a day on the beach. Please keep the health of the ocean in mind and keep track of trash\, use reusable water bottles and utensils\, and dispose of food waste appropriately. \n10 AM to 2 PM – Educational Activity Stations and Events: During the celebration\, enjoy a number of additional events and activity stations fun for all ages and led by Friends of Netarts Bay WEBS\, OSU Tillamook County Extension\, Juntos Afuera Program\, and Oregon State Parks. \nWe understand everyone learns and experiences the outdoors differently and we are open to working with anyone that needs additional support. We have limited capacity. Please contact us in advance so we can do our best to accommodate your needs and/or find a way for you or your group to have fun participating in our events. \nAdditional Logistics: \n\nRegistration is encouraged but not required to join in on this amazing day\nThere is a $5 fee to park at Cape Lookout State Park\nPlease be prepared for dynamic coastal weather conditions.
