DESCRIPTION:STEAM Coach Volunteer Training: February 13th \nYou don’t have to be an expert\, just someone who is passionate about helping students learn. \n  \nSpring field trip season will be here soon\, and the Tillamook County STEAM Partnership is gearing up to host hundreds of students on several different field trip programs in Tillamook County. In order for these programs to be successful\, the TC STEAM Partnership relies on community volunteers to fill a variety of roles as STEAM Coaches\, who lead or assist with activities\, help behind the scenes\, and so much more. STEAM Coaches are people who believe all students should be able to learn about science\, technology\, engineering\, art\, and math through educational experiences that are hands-on and inquiry-based. \n  \nThis Volunteer STEAM Coach Training is for new and returning volunteers who want to support Tillamook County K-12 students at upcoming environmental education school programs. The focus of the hands-on activities for this training will include wave energy\, solar energy\, and the water cycle.  \n  \nDate: Thursday\, February 13\, 2025 \nTime: 9am – Noon (noon – 2pm optional hands-on activities) \nLocation: USCG Historic Boathouse (1209 Bay Lane\, Garibaldi\, Oregon) \nWhat: STEAM Coach Orientation presentation + hands on activity demonstrations  \nFREE Catered lunch social sponsored by @tillamookestuariespartnership \nRegistration required online at www.Netartsbaywebs.org/events \n  \nWe look forward to you joining us at this STEAM Coach Volunteer training to learn more about opportunities to volunteer with @netartsbaywebs @tillamookestuariespartnership @nwstudentsoutdoors and other TC STEAM Partners. Together\, the TC STEAM Partnership offers students numerous experiential education programs including environmental science field trips\, farm-to-table school gardens\, science fairs\, cultural programming\, research projects\, professional development\, and more.
