SUMMARY:Tillamook Main Library Storytime: Preschool
DESCRIPTION:Preschool storytime (PS) on Wed @ 10; developmentally appropriate for 3-5 yos; music\, stories\, interactive play and lots of laughs! In this class little begin to learn about a leader at the front of the room\, how to hold their wiggles\, listening and sitting still. When a child is transitioning from TT to PS my expectation is that they will sit for 5-10 minutes and then they might go play. I do not force them to sit still if they are not ready to. \nA couple of things about the children’s room that might set you at ease: \n\nThere is no expectation that it will be a quiet zone; kids are kids and they are allowed to act like themselves in the children’s room.\nOnly 2 hard and fast rules: No Running & No Screaming.\nIf your child needs a snack\, feed them!

DESCRIPTION:Where People Walked and Why\, people have been in Tillamook County for a long time and for much of that time they walked and traveled by water in canoes.  These trails are still there but you will not find them in guide books\, maps or using an internet search engine.  With a trained eye and some help form modern technology these trails\, or reasonable guesses of where they were\, do make themselves visible.  That is what we will explore the why someone may have walked somewhere and where they walked.
