Students must have at least five years of work experience. As long as the student maintains his or her eligibility\, Tillamook Bay Community College will award a tuition scholarship for the student to earn their first degree. This is an excellent opportunity for those returning to their education to complete a degree. Each student will work individually with the student services team through the application process. DESCRIPTION:RED TIDE REUNION CONCERT- Get Tickets in Advance! \nFriday November 24th at 7pm\, Red Tide\, the iconic 90’s heavy alternative rock band from Tillamook\, is reuniting for a one-night-only concert at the Bay City Arts Center on November 24th at 7pm. The three-piece band formed in 1995\, comprising guitarist and singer Drew DeRieux\, drummer and singer Mike Reeves\, and bassist Brandon Affolter\, played shows throughout the 90’s both in Portland and as a sought-after coastal party band. The much-anticipated reunion concert is not only a return to the stage for Red Tide\, but also a benefit for the Bay City Arts Center. Entry is a suggested donation of $20 for general admission and $10 for students.

DESCRIPTION:Tillamook School of Dance is thrilled to announce that we will be partnering with the Tillamook County YMCA this year for our annual Christmas Toy Drive! Over the years\, TSOD has danced to donate nearly 6\,000 toys and gifts to the kids of our community. We are honored to be handing over all toy and monetary donations directly to the YMCA\, where they will be setting up a “receiving tree” as well as a shopping area for families\, to ensure that all kids in our community have a special holiday season. Monetary donations will be given to the YMCA sports programs and be will used to purchase sports equipment for our local youth teams. TSOD & the Tillamook YMCA share the same passion for kids and community. We are committed to providing a safe environment for kids and staff along with positive experiences and support for everyone! \nDonations can be dropped off at one of our convenient partnering drop off locations\, Werner Beef & Brew\, Umqpua Bank and the Tillamook YMCA between November 20th-December 8th.

SUMMARY:2023 Nehalem Bay Crab Derby
DESCRIPTION:Scheduled to coincide with Free Fishing Weekend\, Kelly’s Brighton Marina will release 26 tagged crabs on Saturday morning and a $10 per ticket entry fee is required to participate in the Crab Derby\, with proceeds from ticket sales going to the sponsored charities – the MuddNick Foundation of Manzanita\, OR and Animal Haven By The Sea Rescue in Nehalem\, OR. All captured tagged crabs must be returned to the marina by 5:00pm and a drawing will be held to determine the top prize of $1\,000 cash. We are excited to welcome back the band “Uncle Jerry” from Cannon Beach who will perform at 6pm. Live music\, games\, crafts\, many great vendors\, raffles\, and a wide array of prizes round out an exciting event that we hope will become an annual tradition for all who attend!

DESCRIPTION:Grand Opening Celebration this Saturday\, May 20th from 11 am to 3 pm at Under The Big G! Live music from 1-3!\n\nAll donation proceeds will be donated to the “Tides of Change” organization in Tillamook\, formerly the Women’s Resource Center.\nVendors will donate $1 from each entrée sale to them. That donation will matched by property owner 100%.\n\nOne free raffle ticket will also be given for each entrée purchased for the prize drawing.\n\nWe will also be selling raffle tickets for prizes donated by the property owner and all proceeds from the raffle will be donated to “Tides of Change” as well.\nTickets will be 6 for $5 or $1 each.\nSugar Plus Air Cotton will be on the pod Saturday with a portion of their proceeds going to the “Tides of Change” organization as well.\nAll winners will be notified by phone the following week.
