SUMMARY:Educational Birdwatching Boat Tour – 3 Arch Rocks
DESCRIPTION:This is a two and a half hour guided sightseeing and birdwatching boat tour departing from Garibaldi\, heading for 3 Arch Rocks National Wildlife Refuge in the waters off Oceanside. \nJoin Garibaldi Charters and experienced guide Tim Shelmerdine of Oregon Pelagic Tours\, and enjoy an educational trip aboard the 43′ vessel Alaska Sunrise.  On the trip down to the Three Arch Rocks National Wildlife Refuge you will experience the breathtaking views of the coast from the other side of the beach! Keep a sharp eye out for harbor seals\, sea lions\, bald eagles\, puffins\, murres\, cormorants\, gulls and the other abundant seashore wildlife native to the north coast. Be sure to bring a camera and binoculars\, and warm waterproof clothes if you have them\, as afternoons on the water can be breezy.  Life jackets are provided.  Cost is $75/adult and $60/child.  Book online at https://garibaldicharters.com or call to reserve 503-322-0007.  This trip will run rain or shine\, but is “conditions dependent” and may be cancelled for rough ocean conditions.  A full refund will be provided if trip is cancelled for rough conditions.  It is not recommended for anyone with balance or mobility issues.

We’ll then travel to various locations around the bay and surrounding headlands in the hopes of seeing soaring brown pelicans\, great blue herons\, bald eagles\, songbirds\, and cormorants. \nDetails: \n\nBe prepared to walk up to 1-2 miles to and from observation points.\nParticipants will need to provide their own transportation between locations and may need to purchase a day-use permit at the state park. SUMMARY:Discover Oregon Seafood Tour – Garibaldi
DESCRIPTION:Join Oregon Sea Grant experts on a guided walk along Port of Garibaldi commercial docks. \n\nLearn about Oregon’s vibrant commercial fishing industry and the delicious\, nutritious\, and sustainable seafood they bring back to the dock.\nCheck out different vessels and fishing gear to learn how seafood is harvested in Garibaldi. We might even meet a fisherman or two along the way!\n\nWhat to expect: \n\nEach tour will last between 60-90 minutes. Participants should expect to be walking or standing the entire tour. Total walking distance will be approximately 1/2 mile.\nTours will start at 9:30 am\, 10:30 am\, and 11:30 am.\nEach participant will receive a complimentary gift tote bag with informational resources and local seafood products.\n\nWhat to bring: \n\nDress for the weather.\nComfortable\, closed-toes shoes recommended.\n\nParking: \n\nThe Port of Garibaldi commercial docks along Mooring Dr has plenty of parking.\n\nQuestions and Accommodations: \nIf you have any questions or need disability accommodations\, please email dock.tours@oregonstate.edu at least one week in advance of your tour.

We hope to observe Snowy Plovers and other coastal creatures on this 13-mile round trip hike.
