SUMMARY:Netarts Bay Salt Marsh Tour
DESCRIPTION:Join Friends of Netarts Bay – Watershed\, Estuary\, Beach\, and Sea (WEBS)\, for this educational guided tour.  This program includes two parts; a presentation followed by a walking tour along the salt marsh at the southern end of Netarts Bay.  The presentation will review salt marsh habitats and give an overview of the common plants found in these areas and how they are adapted to survive in these salty locations. During the walk\, explore the salt marsh with biologist and WEBS  volunteer\, Jim Young and learn about the plants and animals that live in this unique habitat and the importance of this environment from the forest to the water’s edge.  This field-based walking tour includes an easy to moderate 1.5 to 3 mile hike through muddy\, wet sand\, and loose sand areas.

DESCRIPTION:The annual Cork & Brew Tour in Downtown Tillamook\, is set for Friday\, June 14th at 5PM-8:30PM!\nPurchase tickets at http://www.corkandbrewtour.com \nTo kick off the evening\, meet us at Flavors on First\, the Food Truck court\, for our Cork & Brew launch party where you will trade you ticket in for a commerative Cork & Brew cup and partake in complimentary beverages\, music and fun from 5pm-6pm. You’ll also recieve a passport for when you head out on a self guided walking tour of Downtown Tillamook. At each stop you’ll be able to taste beers and wines from the Pacific Northwest and enjoy flavorful appetizers from local restaurants at a variety of exclusive downtown locations. \nWe can’t wait to see you there! Take a closer look and you may find snails\, limpets\, colorful sea slugs known as nudibranchs.
