This monthly event is free and open to the public. \nRobbie McClaran: Beginning in 2013\, and working with an antique eight-by-ten\, large format camera\, Robbie McClaran has been photographing along the entire 1250-mile length of the Columbia River\, from its source in British Columbia to its confluence with the Pacific Ocean. “The Great River of the West”\, explores the River’s current cultural and economic landscape as well as environmental alterations. \nLydia Hess: Lydia Hess looks to the natural world and iconic symbols for inspiration in her artwork. She has worked with carved clay-board\, and block prints for many years as a commercial illustrator. After being introduced to the unexpected spontaneity of monotype printmaking\, she was inspired to infuse these colorful\, textural compositions with her graphic carved images.

These schools will provide information about their transfer programs and how to apply. This is also a chance for students who know exactly where they want to go to make their first contact at the school they’ve chosen. \nThis year\, nearly twenty four-year schools have signed up to attend TBCC’s event. DESCRIPTION:Preschool storytime (PS) on Wed @ 10; developmentally appropriate for 3-5 yos; music\, stories\, interactive play and lots of laughs! In this class little begin to learn about a leader at the front of the room\, how to hold their wiggles\, listening and sitting still. When a child is transitioning from TT to PS my expectation is that they will sit for 5-10 minutes and then they might go play. I do not force them to sit still if they are not ready to. \nA couple of things about the children’s room that might set you at ease: \n\nThere is no expectation that it will be a quiet zone; kids are kids and they are allowed to act like themselves in the children’s room.\nOnly 2 hard and fast rules: No Running & No Screaming.\nIf your child needs a snack\, feed them!

This annual and fun event takes place on Saturday January 27 at the White Clover Grange in Nehalem (36585 Highway 53) and is a fundraiser for the Grange building fund.  \nFifteen dollars ($5 for children 10 and under) opens the door to a fast paced pie auction with the funny and entertaining Susan Tone returning for her 6th year as auctioneer. The auction features two dozen creative\, delicious\, and impressive pies from local bakers\, chefs\, and restaurants. And after the auction\, there will be a pie and ice cream feast–fruit pies\, custard pies\, savory pies\, vegan pies\, gluten-free pies\, and various pies-but-not-pies – all of them will be at this event! In addition\, the incredible Liz Cole will kick off the festivities with her traditional and always compelling performance of “Ode to Pie.” (See her 2020 rendition at  \nhttps://youtu.be/ujcux-3WPhc ) \nJoin your community on Saturday\, January 27st! Doors open at 2:30 pm and the auction starts at 3. All proceeds will benefit the Career-to-Career scholarship.\n\nThe Career-to-Career scholarship is a tuition scholarship available to qualified Tillamook County individuals. Students must have at least five years of work experience. As long as the student maintains his or her eligibility\, Tillamook Bay Community College will award a tuition scholarship for the student to earn their first degree. This is an excellent opportunity for those returning to their education to complete a degree. Each student will work individually with the student services team through the application process.
