The auction features two dozen creative\, delicious\, and impressive pies from local bakers\, chefs\, and restaurants. And after the auction\, there will be a pie and ice cream feast–fruit pies\, custard pies\, savory pies\, vegan pies\, gluten-free pies\, and various pies-but-not-pies – all of them will be at this event! In addition\, the incredible Liz Cole will kick off the festivities with her traditional and always compelling performance of “Ode to Pie.” (See her 2020 rendition at  \nhttps://youtu.be/ujcux-3WPhc ) \nJoin your community on Saturday\, January 27st! Doors open at 2:30 pm and the auction starts at 3. DESCRIPTION:Spanish Brass will embark on three tours in the United States this year\, starting the first one on January 5. A month of concerts\, educational performances\, and masterclasses will take them through Hawai’i\, Illinois\, New York\, Oregon\, California\, and Texas. The Kiawanda Community Center is a perfect setting for the group to play and enchant Pacific City and surrounding communities on Sunday\, January 21. 2024 from 3-5pm. \nDuring this tour\, the quintet will present their new artistic proposal\, celebrating their 35th anniversary by returning to their purest roots as a brass quintet. They will intertwine some of the most significant works from their career with new compositions or adaptations written expressly for the occasion. \nFounded in 1989\, Spanish Brass has graced more than 2\,000 stages worldwide and released thirty-two albums. In 1996\, it won the First Prize at the 6th International Competition for Brass Quintets “Ville de Narbonne” (France)\, considered the most prestigious for this formation. In this class little begin to learn about a leader at the front of the room\, how to hold their wiggles\, listening and sitting still. When a child is transitioning from TT to PS my expectation is that they will sit for 5-10 minutes and then they might go play. I do not force them to sit still if they are not ready to. \nA couple of things about the children’s room that might set you at ease: \n\nThere is no expectation that it will be a quiet zone; kids are kids and they are allowed to act like themselves in the children’s room.\nOnly 2 hard and fast rules: No Running & No Screaming.\nIf your child needs a snack\, feed them!
