DESCRIPTION:The North Oregon Coast Symphony completes its 2022-2023 season with two classical music concerts in June.  This non-profit ensemble\, under the direction of conductor Cory Pederson\, brings together musicians from the north Oregon and south Washington coast.  In addition to selections from Bizet’s L’Arlesienne Suites (Nos. 1 and 2) and an original composition by orchestra member James Achilles\, the concerts will feature several NOCS musicians as soloists.  Accompanied by the orchestra\, Laurie Swanson\, oboe\, will play a haunting piece entitled The Winter’s Passed; Achilles will sing the famous “Figaro” aria from  Rossini’s Barber of Seville; and Jewell High School student Brayden Payne will be featured in Mozart’s clarinet concerto. \nThe orchestra will perform the concerts on Saturday\, June 10\, at St. Catherine Episcopal Church (36335 N. In this class little begin to learn about a leader at the front of the room\, how to hold their wiggles\, listening and sitting still. When a child is transitioning from TT to PS my expectation is that they will sit for 5-10 minutes and then they might go play. I do not force them to sit still if they are not ready to. \nA couple of things about the children’s room that might set you at ease: \n\nThere is no expectation that it will be a quiet zone; kids are kids and they are allowed to act like themselves in the children’s room.\nOnly 2 hard and fast rules: No Running & No Screaming.\nIf your child needs a snack\, feed them!

SUMMARY:2023 Nehalem Bay Crab Derby
DESCRIPTION:Scheduled to coincide with Free Fishing Weekend\, Kelly’s Brighton Marina will release 26 tagged crabs on Saturday morning and a $10 per ticket entry fee is required to participate in the Crab Derby\, with proceeds from ticket sales going to the sponsored charities – the MuddNick Foundation of Manzanita\, OR and Animal Haven By The Sea Rescue in Nehalem\, OR. All captured tagged crabs must be returned to the marina by 5:00pm and a drawing will be held to determine the top prize of $1\,000 cash. We are excited to welcome back the band “Uncle Jerry” from Cannon Beach who will perform at 6pm. Live music\, games\, crafts\, many great vendors\, raffles\, and a wide array of prizes round out an exciting event that we hope will become an annual tradition for all who attend!

DESCRIPTION:Vietnam Veterans of America Umpqua Valley Chapter 805 bring Memorial Traveling Wall to Tillamook. This memorial wall represents 957 names\, all Oregon veterans who died\, 708 in the Vietnam War and the rest in later military actions. The wall is designed to be like the Vietnam Veteran Memorial in Washington\, D.C.\, and travels around the state of Oregon. Tillamook Revitalization Association is sponsoring this Vietnam Memorial on May 26th and 27th at 2 Street Plaza from 10am-6pm. This would be in conjunction with Memorial Day Weekend.
