SUMMARY:Tillamook County’s Second Annual Overdose Awareness Day
DESCRIPTION:Tillamook’s Second Annual Overdose Awareness Day will be held at the Blue Heron in Tillamook\, Oregon on Thursday August 31st from 4pm-7pm. This annual campaign aims to end overdose\, remember without stigma those who have died\, and acknowledge the grief of the family and friends left behind. Come explore our resource fair with local organizations that support ending overdoses right here in Tillamook county. There will be crafts and activities for all ages. Free food provided by the Food Trailer at the Blue Heron for first 100 folks that arrive and we are excited to have musical guest Eric Sappington and Mercury Coast. Wear purple to the event to show support!

DESCRIPTION:Tillamook County Community Health Center in partnership with Tillamook County Solid Waste & County Sherriff’s Office will be hosting the National DEA Drug Take Back Day on April 22nd from 10am – 2pm at Tillamook County Community Health Center’s 9th Clinic parking lot.\n\n\nBring unused or expired medication (prescription or over-the-counter) for free and safe disposal\nBring sharps (injectables / needles) in closed red Sharps container(s) for free and safe disposal\nReceive training on overdose prevention and a NARCAN kit (while supplies last)\n\nThe DEA National Drug Take-Back day encourages the public to remove unneeded medications from their homes as a measure of preventing medication misuse and opioid addiction from ever starting.
