The class is composed of lectures\, small group discussions\, and interactive exercises.\n\n\n\nASIST also includes demonstrations and role-playing of common suicide intervention situations\, allowing participants to practice their newly learned suicide intervention skills in a supportive environment. Upon completion of the workshop\, participants will be prepared to:\n• recognize invitations for help\n• reach out and offer support\n• assess risk of suicide\n• apply evidence-based suicide intervention model\n• link people with community resources\n\n\n\nYou must register to attend and there is no cost. Costs are being covered by the remaining grant funds from the Coalition received from the Oregon Alliance to Prevent Suicide. Light snacks and beverages will be provided. The training is in person and you must attend both days in full in order to receive your certification. The first hour will consist of a QPR training*\, followed by an hour of crafting and socializing. Feel free to join us for one or both parts! You do not need to attend QPR to come do crafts\, and you don’t have to stay for crafts after QPR. DESCRIPTION:Oregon Transfer Days is almost here! TBCC will be hosting OTD on February 1st from 10am until 1pm\, with special info sessions to follow. \nFor those of you who don’t know\, Oregon Transfer Days is an annual event in late January/early February where four-year colleges visit community colleges throughout Oregon to meet prospective students. These schools will provide information about their transfer programs and how to apply. This is a great resource for students who aren’t sure what they want to do next as well as students who have already decided they are transferring. This is also a chance for students who know exactly where they want to go to make their first contact at the school they’ve chosen. \nThis year\, nearly twenty four-year schools have signed up to attend TBCC’s event. DESCRIPTION:Please join us as we host a True Survivor Storytelling Event in celebration of 40 years of service for survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Tillamook County. Survivors will have the opportunity to share their stories of domestic violence\, sexual violence\, stalking\, and/or human trafficking with the community.\n\nEvent is free but a $10 donation is suggested.\n\nOur annual human ribbon picture will take place after the event expected to start gathering at 3:30pm. If you can’t make the event you can still come to the photo!
